Lamara Distin from Texas A&M finished second in the women's invitational high jump with a clearance at 6-3.50 (1.92m). Distin needed three attempts to make 6-2.25 (1.89m), while Elena Kulichenko of Georgia made that bar on her second try. That made the difference in the competition at Saturday's Tom Jones Memorial Invitational. Distin owns the NCAA's No. 1 clearance with 6-5 (1.96m) and Kulichenko is No. 2 with a best of 6-4 (1.93m).
